Recently, two national standards, "Technical Requirements for Humanoid Robots Part 6: Positioning and Navigation," led by UBTECH, and "Technical Requirements for Humanoid Robots Part 7: Human-Robot Interaction," jointly led by Beijing Institute of Automation of the Machinery Industry Co., Ltd., were officially approved. In April of this year, UBTECH also led the development of the first national standards for technical requirements for humanoid robots, responsible for developing technical requirements for operational operations.
Positioning and navigation technologies are key enablers for humanoid robots to achieve autonomous mobility, task execution, and environmental interaction, directly impacting their commercialization and penetration into various scenarios. "Technical Requirements for Humanoid Robots Part 6: Positioning and Navigation" will specify the technical requirements for humanoid robots' spatial positioning, mapping, path planning, navigation and obstacle avoidance, exception handling, and navigation stability.
